YOUR RIGHTS

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

What Is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to give patients who don't have insurance — or who are not using insurance — an estimate of expected charges for medical services, including mental health care. This is called a Good Faith Estimate (GFE).

Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item.
  • You can also ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Our Commitment to Transparency

At Moving Balance Therapy Services, we are committed to providing clear and honest information about the cost of your care. Before your first appointment, you will receive a written Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected cost of your therapy sessions.

Your GFE will include the type of service, the expected fee per session, and an estimate of the number of sessions anticipated based on your treatment goals. Please note that the actual number of sessions may vary depending on your individual needs and progress.

If you have questions about your Good Faith Estimate or the cost of services at any time, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are happy to discuss your options, including our sliding scale fee availability.

How to Dispute a Bill

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. For questions or to start the dispute process, contact the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
