Hope and Healing with Moving Balance Therapy Services, LLC

Ashley earned her  Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Simpson College in Indianola Iowa. She always had a love of helping others and a passion for dance. When a google search discovered the combination of the two Ashley knew the next steps after graduation. She then moved to Philadelphia Pennsylvania to complete her Master's degree in Dance/Movement Therapy at Drexel University. 

After graduation she worked in a school-based nurture program,  providing a therapeutic environment for students facing social, emotional and behavioral challenges that hinder learning. As well as in a therapeutic afterschool program for students on the Autism Spectrum. 

Upon moving back to Iowa Ashley began working for a local non-profit providing school -based therapy and continued to do that until opening my private practice. Her focus has been on providing individual and family therapy to tweens, teens and young adults.

She holds the following licenses and certifications:
* Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Iowa

* National Certified Counselor (NCC)
* Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT)
* Certified Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF‑CBT)
* EMDR trained therapist
